XI Odessa Summer School “Arms Control and Nonproliferation: Global and Regional Trends 2021”

XI International Summer School “Arms Control and Nonproliferation: Global and Regional trends 2021” took place last August with the support from U.S. Department of State, Swedish Radiation Safety Authority and Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on the basis of OdCNP. The main aim of this event – to increase the awareness amongst young nonproliferation experts across Europe and the Middle East on the current trends in the field of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons policy, safety and security, disarmament, and nonproliferation.

X Odessa International Summer School “Current Challenges for Nonproliferation and Disarmament: Regional Perspectives”

Odessa X International Summer School “Current Challenges for Nonproliferation and Disarmament: Regional Perspectives” was held by OdCNP at Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University with the support of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and U.S. State Department on August 23-28. The School is aimed at increasing the awareness of the young nonproliferation community in Europe and the Middle East on the current trends in the field of nuclear weapons policy, disarmament, nonproliferation and nuclear security. The US-Russia Engagement, NATO and EU in Arms Control and Nonproliferation, Russia Nuclear Deterrene 2020, Export Control, Nuclear Challenges and opportunities in the Middle East as well as Nuclear Security in Ukraine were the topics of lectures and discussions.
