On June, 12th – 15th OdCNP together with Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) have conducted Writing and Science School for Young Nonproliferation Experts.
To improve the competence of the Odessa Center for Nuclear Nonproliferation (OdCNP) staff on matters related to the situation around the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the main issues and areas of work performed in the exclusion zone, on 5 June 2016 a visit to the exclusion zone and zone of unconditional (obligatory) resettlement was organized.

On May 25-27 The Head of OdCNP Polina Sinovets took part in the NATO Advanced Research Workshop "CBRN Risks in Maritime and Land Containers Transport".
On May 13, 2016 Odessa Center for Nonproliferation hosted the presentation of analytical paper of Foreign Policy Council "Ukrainian Prism" "Ukraine Foreign Policy Scorecard 2015".
On May 4, 2016 a round table "The Ukraine crisis, Budapest Memorandum and the Role of the United States" took place at the National University "Odessa Law Academy". Odessa Center for Nonproliferation became a co-organizer of this event.
June 1, 2016 is a date to commemorate twenty years after the last nuclear warhead left the territory of Ukraine. Since then our country is among nearly 200 countries that do not have nuclear weapons. On the occasion of the anniversary of Ukraine getting rid of the world `s third nuclear capacity Odessa Center for Nonproliferation of Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University conducted a Roundtable "20 Years of Nuclear Disarmament of Ukraine: Conclusions and Lessons" with the support of Swedish Radiation Safety Authority on Wednesday, April 27.
