The European INF Initiative Project Meeting at OdCNP

On May 3d Odessa Center for Nonproliferation conducted the workshop of the European INF Initiative Project.

The central aim of the project is to explore the consequences of the collapse of the INF Treaty for Europe. This included attempting to predict the reactions of the states involved, their policies, and attitudes to the arms control vs. the arms race in Europe. Also the possible scenarios were modeled for Europe.

Another central goal of the project is to generate fresh and out-of-the-box thinking, as well as to discuss Europe’s possible contribution(s) to strategic stability on the continent in the situation of the collapse of currently in-force international treaties.

To complete this task successfully, we brought together 12 high-profile professionals from Great Britain, Germany, France, Poland, Italy and Ukraine.
